Accessibility statement

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across this website, including the booking pages.

What we’ve built in

• Text and button colours checked for contrast against their backgrounds.
• A visible focus outline for keyboard users, and a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Form fields have labels that screen readers can read out, and error messages are announced.
• Main buttons are at least 44 pixels tall, so they’re easy to tap on a phone.
• Pages adapt to small screens, and zooming in isn’t blocked.
• Animation is turned off if your device is set to reduce motion.
• No text is shown only inside images.

Known issues

We don’t know of any accessibility problems on our own pages at the moment. One part of booking uses another company’s app:

• Booking, and our other forms, finish in WhatsApp. The last step opens WhatsApp with your message to Ben filled in, and you tap Send there. WhatsApp is run by another company, so we can’t change how it works. If you can’t use WhatsApp, or would rather not, phone or text Ben on 07940 118192 and he’ll help you book.

If you find something that doesn’t work for you, please tell us so we can fix it.

This statement is based on our own checks while building the website. It hasn’t been audited by an independent organisation.
