Planned around collection day

When does Ben clean your bin?

On your collection day, after the council has emptied your bin. You tell us your collection day when you book, and every clean is planned around it, so your bin is always empty when Ben arrives.

Epping Forest District Council empties black and blue bins every two weeks, on alternate weeks. Six weeks is exactly three fortnights, so a regular clean always lands on a week your bin is emptied.

The first round starts in January 2027. When you book, Ben replies on WhatsApp to confirm your visit. If the council changes your collection day, just tell Ben on WhatsApp and your future cleans move with it.

Questions about your cleans

Do I need to be home?
No. Leave your bin where the council empties it, and Ben will clean it there and put it back where he found it. If there’s anything Ben needs to know about getting to your bins, just tell him on WhatsApp.
What does every clean include?
The same three steps, whether it’s a regular clean or a one-off: pressure washed inside and out, bleached and disinfected including the lid and handles, and deodorised, so it’s left fresh.
What if my bin wasn’t emptied, or wasn’t out?
You don’t pay. If your bin wasn’t out, wasn’t emptied, or Ben couldn’t get to it, he’ll let you know on WhatsApp. Your regular pattern carries on, so your next clean stays on its usual date.
How is my booking confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed when Ben replies. The last step of the booking form opens WhatsApp with your details filled in. Tap Send, and Ben replies on WhatsApp to confirm your visit, the price and how to pay. The form does not take payment.
Can I skip, move, pause or cancel?
  • Skip a clean by messaging Ben on WhatsApp. Your six-weekly pattern stays the same.
  • Move a clean to one of your bin’s next emptying days. Just ask Ben.
  • Pause your cleans until a date that suits you.
  • Cancel any time with a message to Ben. There’s no contract and no fee.
